A graphic designer turned fine artist, Mona works primarily in monotype printmaking. She untraditionally incorporates a variety of construction elements such as wood, fiber, resin and metal. Mona has shown her work in many regional shows and galleries since 2000, winning several awards.

Mona's art is centered on nature and science pulling from family history to link the past with the future. Making sense of life through the lens of fine detail and patterns emerge in an attempt to set things in order. Mona draws from her family history to celebrate the Pacific Northwest and all of its beauty.

When she isn't in her studio she is a mother and an art teacher in the Shoreline district. Mona recently has opened her studio to adult classes and with room for only four students she is flexible in class scheduling.
